Tennessee Titans defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth has been suspended for 5 games for stomping on Dallas Cowboys center Andre Gurode's head and kicking him in the face Sunday.
"There is absolutely no place in the game, or anywhere else, for the inexcusable action that occurred in yesterday's Titans-Cowboys game," NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said.
I saw the incident. It was completely out of line and completely sickening. I'm anxious to see how the Titans punish Haynesworth. The NFL has given their judgement but the Titans can pass further punishment if they find it neccessary (and I hope they agree that it is)
